About Rochelle

Rochelle Hanslow is a Scottish, neurodivergent, chronically ill poet, writer, and essayist. Her work has appeared in DreichThe Anti-Misogyny Club, Eche, Propel Magazine, the Propel Anthology, and Black Cat Poetry Press’s latest nature anthology. Alongside her writing, she studies ornithology, zoology, and botany, with a particular interest in the intersections between ecology, behaviour, and language. She is continuously developing her engagement with the natural world that often informs her creative work. Rochelle is currently developing a dark fantasy novel marked by psychological depth and emotional precision as well as a short wildlife-inspired prose collection. Her debut poetry pamphlet, 'Wolf in the Nursery', is forthcoming with Black Cat Poetry Press in 2027.
